Best Buy is a big name in electronics and entertainment, with exclusive store discounts on popular brands, a competitive loyalty program and even a credit card options.

Both the standard Best Buy Reward Zone card and the Reward Zone MasterCard earn people one point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases, which will help people get to the more exclusive level of Premier Silver status.

Premier Silver Reward Zone members get access to more rewards and exclusive events at Best Buy stores across the country, with benefits that include:

  • 1.25 points per $1 spent
  • Free standard shipping on most BestBuy.com purchases
  • 45-day extended return policy on Best Buy and BestBuy.com purchases
  • Complimentary Geek Squad Home Theater consultation
  • Access to the 24/7 Premier Silver Helpline; and
  • An online or phone-based personal shopper service

Regular Reward Zone members need to spend at least $2500 in a calendar year to reach Premier Silver status, but with one of the Reward Zone credit cards this cost could be as much as halved through bonus points and deals.

As well as increasing the potential points earned from shopping at Best Buy, these two rewards cards feature competitive financing options like no interest on Best Buy purchases over $429 if they are paid in full within 18 months.

There are also a number of different payment options, including recurring payments with up to three bank accounts.

Differences Between Best Buy Credit Cards

The two Best Buy credit cards available may offer similar rewards but still have very different credit card features.

The Reward Zone program card cannot be used outside of Best Buy stores, while the Best Buy Reward Zone MasterCard can be used anywhere a MasterCard is accepted.

There are also differences in the APRs for these cards, with the variable rate for the standard Reward Zone card between 24.24% and 27.99% and for the Reward Zone MasterCard 17.99% – 22.99% APR.

The MasterCard also comes with an annual fee of $59, so it is good idea to consider whether the benefits of this card will be worth it.

These credit cards could be ideal for people who spend a lot of money at Best Buy. But like any other offers out there, comparing these deals with other cards will help you find the best combination of features for value and convenience through plastic.
